In the Transfer Portal Era, bowl games outside of the College Football Playoff have seemingly become glorified exhibition games.
They seemed to matter more in the past and are more or less one more chance for fans to see their teams in a usually reduced capacity with outgoing transfers and opt-outs already not playing.
