Bear sightings and chalk art work

During this pandemic of the caronavirus Eunice kids and families at home are finding creative ways and means to pass their time.
If you own colored chalk use it. Seems to be families and kids are drawing on home driveways positive pictures and messages. This seems to put a positive note or twist in this unknown crisis we are now facing.
There are also families driving around town on a Bear Hunt. Families with kids in tote are driving around Eunice neighborhoods to hunt for bears. Many families are displaying stuffed teddy bears inside their windows visible for children to spot. Other families have teddy bears sitting outdoors in chairs in front of their homes. Seems to be a sort of scavenger hunt or game on how many bears are spotted. Kids keep count on how many are seen. Some families who don’t have teddy bears have improvised and put out stuffed monkeys, bunnies, dogs, etc. I have a teddy bear placed inside my front living room window.
Just recently, printed inside The Eunice News, is an activity booklet designed for kids at home. This will keep your children busy and at the same time they will have fun completing word find puzzles, word search, crossword puzzles, coloring activities, connect the dots and much more.
During this time, I encourage all families and kids to do creative things inside and outdoors of their home. This may become a productive and quality time spent as a family. Take advantage of your precious time with your family.
Older children, elementary and high school ages, take time to complete school work. This task will keep your mind fresh and in working, thinking mode. Pretend you are still in school. Do the work and complete work assignments each day.
I’m thinking about another idea, keep a journal. Write and keep a daily journal. Write down important thoughts, some can be serious, while other may be fun and silly. One day after all this pandemic passes, you can pick up your journal, read it, and reflect upon it. You may look at it and realize and believe that you are a survivor.
We, You, All of us, will survive through this trying season. And, when we come out on the other side of it, we will have all become a better person.
