One of my pet peeves

I think it’s past time for me to vent about traffic and obeying traffic laws. One of my biggest pet peeves is traffic. However, a clarification would be how drivers don’t respect or obey traffic laws, or respect other drivers on the roadways.
My late father taught me years ago and, as he would remind me, “Always drive defensively. Watch out for others on the roadways.”
To begin with, our turning lanes are specifically designed just for that. It’s not for traveling purposes or to speed in.
Number two, obey all traffic signs. At a signal light, and when the light turns red, this mean stop. When a traffic light turns yellow, this means to slow down or yield or even stop.
Number three, a four-way stop sign, is designed for all traffic to come to a complete Stop. The first one to arrive at the complete stop, should proceed first and proceed with caution, because your other three vehicles may not obey by who should proceed first.
Number four, always watch your speed limit signs, that’s what they are there for. If there is an emergency, and you have to speed, use your car flasher device.
Number five, and this should be number one, get off your phone and don’t text and drive. I don’t need to expand on this one.
Number six, respect buses traveling and at bus stops. When buses stop at loading and unloading stops, and that big red stop device is extended out of the bus, this means Stop.
Number seven, left lane on raodways are designed as a passing lane. Do not travel in this lane, and don’t drive slower than the speed limit.
Number eight, pull over when emergency vehicles are traveling on the roadways. Pull over immediately. You are putting someone else’s life in danger.
Number nine, always use your turn-signal device when turning off the roadways. No need to expand on this one.
Number ten, when you are to park at a business, restaurant or any other establishment, those painted yellow lines they are designed for you to park in between the two. And those blue painted lines, accompanied by a blue sign that reads Handicapped, that is designed exactly for the handicapped to park. Obey all. Do not take two parking spots.
Number eleven, Noise control, or also known as very loud blaring music. Not everybody else on the roadways likes or desires to hear your music coming from your vehicle.
I’m sure there are many more pet peeve traffic vents, but right at the moment I can’t think of anymore.
Travel safely and with caution. Obey all traffic laws, respect other drivers.
