Curfew still in effect

St. Landry Parish government reminds its citizens that the juvenile and adult curfew remains in effect in the parish. The curfew is daily from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
With St Landry Parish experiencing some of the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Acadiana and now has more COVID-19 related deaths than any other parish in Acadiana, the parish president’s office has decided to keep the curfew in place to match the governor’s stay at home order.
Social distancing is now more critical than ever in the parish as the number of cases and number of deaths increase.
The St. Landry Parish curfew does allow essential workers to travel to and from work or as needed to perform their duties.
The City of Opelousas has a separate curfew in place. Their curfew is daily from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
