I would like to thank the editor of the Eunice News for printing the exceptional front page story on March 26 concerning the proposed St. Landry Parish Veterans Funeral Honor Guard. The display and contents were right on point as what is needed for a successful conclusion to a very important mission.
Also, I must thank the readers of the Eunice News who followed up with the request for donations. It comes to no great surprise that the pro-veteran supporters would pass up a chance to remember the veterans of this parish who gave of their time to defend this great nation.
I am impressed by noting that in every issue after March 26 Mr. Kirgan has inserted a public service reminder in the paper.
Again, thanks to the Eunice News and all of the fine people of the Eunice area for participating in this valid program. The numbers on your check cannot compare to the size of your heart.
