EHS shines in Bobcat Relays

The Eunice boys finished just two points off the lead, while the EHS girls finished third in the Bobcat Relays.
Beau Chene won the boys title with 96 points, followed by Eunice (94), Crowley (86), Church Point (69), Notre Dame (55), Port Barre (34), Opelousas Catholic (30), St. Edmund (19), Mamou (18), Pine Prairie (13) and Westminster Christian Academy (12).
Eunice’s Carneleous Lewis won the high jump with a leap of 5-10, while Avery Lee won the javelin competition (174).
Eunice’s Javondre Edwards finished second in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.66.
Bobcat Jeoul Hill finished second in the long jump with a leap of 19-4.
Eunice High’s John Mayo finished in third place in both the 800-meter run (2:21.50) and the 1,600 meter-run (5:23.47)
Eunice’s Loranzo Thomas grabbed second in the shot put with a toss of 43-9.
Bobcat Brody Gaspard earned second in the discus with a throw of 120-6.
St. Edmund’s Gus Brown won the 3,200 meter run with a time of 11:38.84.
St. Edmund’s Hunter Breaux finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 56.08.
Church Point’s Breelyn Jones won both the 100-meter dash (10.61) and the 200-meter dash (22.30).
The Bears’ Travon Wheeler, Gavin Richard, Jones and Chad Hornsby won both the 4x100 meter relay (43.56) and the 4x200 meter relay (1:33.06)
Dylan Stelly, Richard, Hornsby and Ethan Castille finshed third in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 3:48.47.
Eunice’s Trevin Ceaser, Simeon Ardoin, Edwards and Hill finished third in the 4x200 with a time of 1:37.40.
The Crowley Ladies won the girls competition with 99 points, followed by Iota (98), Eunice (80), Notre Dame (76), Beau Chene (69), Westminster (42), Church Point (26), Port Barre (26), Mamou (17), Academy of the Sacred Heart (12), Pine Prairie (4), St. Edmund (3) and Opelousas Catholic (2).
Lady Bobcat Katherine Rougeau won the javelin competition (103-8) just ahead of team mate Stacie White (100).
Eunice’s Kimberly Boullard captured second in the shot put (30-10), while Robbi Palmer was second in the high jump (4-8).
Lady Bobcats A’mya Johnwell, Leah Walker, Shanyia Toussaint and Victoria Ardoin finished second in the 4x100 relay with a time of 53.31.
Johnwell, Walker, Toussaint and Jesslyn Reed grabbed second in the 4x200 relay with a time of 1:51.81.
Reed, Zakayla Citizen, Palmer and White finished third in the 4x400 relay with a time of 4:31.84.
Johnwell finished third in the 100 meters with a time of 12.90.
Toussaint finished third in the 200 meters (28.22), while Reed was third in the 400 meters (1:06.19).
Iota’s Rose Regan won the 1,600 meters (5:57.28) and was ssecond in the 800 meters (2:37.94) just behind teammate Chole Smith (2:35.44).
Lady Bulldog Abigail Fontenot won the long jump (14-9) just ahead of Mamou’s Tavia Gallow (14-0).
