Despite a regular season that didn’t go according to plan, the No. 18-seeded St. Edmund Lady Jays softball team left their mark on the Division IV Select playoff bracket with an emphatic 19-2 road win over Slaughter Charter to advance to the Regional round before ending their season at the hands of a district foe in No. 2-seed Opelousas Catholic.
