To the naked eye, the St. Ed’s Lady Jays’ 2-2 finish in Elton’s basketball tournament would seem like a so-so showing.
However, the Lady Jays finished second in the four-day event and lost both its opener and championship game to Class 5A Sulphur.
In the end, it was another impressive showing for an upperclassman-laden group that is currently 7-3 this season.
