VILLE PLATTE – In a battle between rivals, this one went to the Trojans.
After St. Edmund exploded for seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to grab a 10-9 advantage, Sacred Heart of Ville Platte answered with two runs to seal a 11-10 win.
The Blue Jays’ rally started when Jack Miller reached on an error, Will Turk was hit by a pitch and later both scored.
Brock Bieber singled with two outs and scored on a hit by Austin Gradney.
Luke Doucet and Michael Zaunbrecher both reached base and scored on a Sacred Heart error.
Jack Miller reached on an other Trojan miscue that allowed Gradney and Ardoin to score as the Blue Jays grabbed a 10-9 advantage.
Sacred Heart recovered to take the win in the bottom of the inning when Nick Perry was hit by a pitch, J. T. Harper singled and they both scored on a double down the left field line by Wesley Launey.
St. Edmund scored a run in the top of the first when Brad Miller singled and scored when Bieber reached on an error.
The Trojans tied the game in the bottom of the inning when J.T. Harper doubled and scored on a hit by Wesley Launey.
Sacred Heart pushed ahead 3-1 with two more runs in the second inning, begun when Drew Bordelon walked and scored on a double by Harper.
Christian singled and scored on a hit by Launey.
The Blue Jays closed the gap to 3-2 in the top of the fourth when Luke Doucet singled and scored on a sacrifice by Gradney.
Sacred Heart pushed across four runs in the bottom of the frame to grab a 7-2 advantage.
St, Edmund pulled closer with a run in the top of the fifth when Will Turk singled and scored on a hit by Jack Brown.
Sacred Heart responded with two runs in the bottom of the inning when Rick Perry and Launey scored to pushthe Trojans ahead, 9-3.

YOUNGSVILLE – Cecilia rolled to a 9-1 win over the Blue Jays at the Ascension Episcopal High tournament.
St. Edmund scored first when Brad Miller singled and scored on a hit by Brock Bieber.
Cecilia responded with three runs in the bottom of the inning, begun when Karuis Joseph singled and scored on a double by Wallace Davis
Blake Briscoe reached on an error and later a hit by Landon Credeur scored the other two base runners.
The Bulldogs exploded for four runs in the bottom of the fourth to put the game away.
Cody Morgan singled and scored on a hit by Joseph.
Briscoe reached on an error and Davis followed with a single to plate Joseph.
Kale Boudreaux rapped a two-out single to drive in Briscoe and Davis to push the Bulldogs’ lead to 7-1.
St. Edmund threatened to score in the top of the fifth when Dawson Ardoin singled but a double play ended the inning.
Cecilia added two insuraance runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, begun when Kain Guidry walked and scored on a ground-out by Austin Frederick.
Morgan doubled and crossed home plate on a hit by Briscoe.
Miller went 3-for-3 to lead the Jays, while Bieber went 2-for-3 with a RBI.
Dawson Ardoin and Austin Gradney both went 1-for-3 for the Jays.
St. Edmund will face the University Academy of Central Louisiana at 1 p.m. Saturday at Blue Jay Field.
