In Honor and Remembrance 9/11 ceremony was held Wednesday at the Eunice Circle Park sponsored by the Woodmen of the Life Chapter 243 in conjunction with the VFW Post 8971, American Legion Post 129, and DAV Chapter 19. The ceremony honors the heroes and victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, and also pays tribute to members of the military, both current and past, who selflessly protect America’s freedom and liberty. “We extend our gratitude to all those who safeguard our community, firefighters, police officers, emergency medical techinicians, and others who everyday put their lives on the line for our safety,” added, Mayor Scott Fontenot.
