ABC to host men’s retreat

Acadian Baptist Center, near Richard, will host a men’s retreat on Feb. 1-2. The speaker will be Dr. Dennis Swanberg, teacher, pastor, motivational speaker and humorist known as America’s Minister of Encouragement. He speaks to about 150 organizations, faith-based groups, and corporations every year. He has hosted two successful TV series, authored nine books, and created over two dozen DVD/CD productions. Music will be provided by Chad Boudreaux of First Baptist Church of Crowley. The cost for this event is $65, including meals and lodging; $35 for commuters, including meals.
