Acadian Baptist Center will host a Senior Adult luncheon at its campus near Richard on April 4. Above, speaker, Al Arnold, author of “Robert E. Lee’s Orderly,” will share the story of his great-great-grandfather, Turner Hall, Jr., a Black Confederate, who served as an orderly for two confederate generals. This is a deep personal journey of faith, heritage, race and family wrapped around the grace of God through the eyes and honest thoughts of a modern black man. Al tells the story of Turner Hall, Jr., his personal Confederate journey and how family and faith has brought harmony to his new-found heritage. Music for this event will be provided by Marc and Ann Savoy of the Savoy Family Band. This is a free event; a love offering will be taken and RSVP to the ABC office by April 2 at 337-457-9047.
