The Acadia Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution members Alma Reed and Charlene Lacombe, pictured left, co-authored a book to honor 198 Acadia Parish Veterans for their service. The book was recognized by the National Daughters of the American Revolution and they received the Veterans Award at the National Award Ceremony in Washington D. C. during the annual National Conference. The book was presented to Southwest La. War Veterans Home Administrative Manager Samuel P.
