Black Women Achievements against The Odds set

The City of Eunice will celebrate a festival parade and program and invites the public to an event, “Black Women Achievement Against The Odds” on Jan. 28.
The keynote speaker and parade marshal will be Col. Dr. Gwendolyn Hebert Thompson, a Eunice native. Thompson has served 37 years in U.S. Army and plans to soon retire.
There will be a parade with the line up at 1 p.m. at the Southeast Center in Eunice and the parade will begin at 2 p.m., concluding at the Liberty Theater with a program beginning at 3 p.m.
An Exhibit “Black Women Achievements Against the Odds” will be open to the public in the City Hall lobby after the program.
