Charles Drew High Class of 1963 celebrates 54th reunion

The Charles Drew High School class of 1963 recently gathered at the Southeast Neighborhood Center in Eunice to celebrate their 54th class reunion. The theme for the event was “Cowboys and Cowgirls making a Difference.”
The celebration consisted of a Meet and Greet, Western Fashion Show, Class Meeting, Memorial Tributes, reflections from the class of 1963 graduates, down Memory Lane, banquet, remembering our past through music and games, awards, and door prizes. Special entertainment was provided by Keristian Edwards and other guests.
Kudos was given to the 2017 Class Reunion Executive Committee for planning and executing the reunion. Executive committee members were Dr. Ezora J. Proctor, president; Wilson Doucet, vice president; Elva S. Ben, secretary; Rev. Wesley Gives, treasurer; Allen Doucet, historian; Moses Andrus, Margaret Daniels, Ella Mae Cheeks, Wilson Doucet and Rita D. Citizen.
Classmates attending the reunion were from various parts of Louisiana, Texas and Virginia.
