Heather Bertrand’s fifth grade class at St. Edmund Elementary created a chemical reaction by combining baking soda and vinegar. A gas was formed from this chemical reaction. They also learned when mixing an acid (vinegar) and a base (baking soda) they will neutralize through a process called neutralization. Camille Cormier performs the experiment. (Submitted photo)
