This week’s Student of the Week is Alyssa Jayde Jan Hamous, an eighth grader at Eunice Junior High School. Her parents are Carla Meyers and Santana Durgan.
If you had to live in another part of the world, where would you want to live and why? I would like to live in Ville Platte. I love my hometown.
Do you have a career wish? I would like to become a photographer or culinary arts.
What could you eat seven days a week? Chicken.
What could you never eat? Exotic foods, like snails.
What is your favorite school subject and who is your favorite teacher? My favorite subject is writing, and my favorite teacher is Haley Gorham.
What is your favorite movie? “The Divergent” series.
What was the last video game you played? Sims 4 on PS4.

What is an ideal summer vacation? A trip to Panama City Florida.
Who has the most influence on you so far? My aunt.
What would you change in your city? I would change nothing.
What do you like the most at your school? I like the fact that we get out at 2:40 and that teachers actually care.
