An event in Eunice, “Black Women Against All Odds, ” was held Jan. 28 with a Eunice native Col. Gwendolyn Hebert Thompson as parade marshal and guest speaker at the Liberty Theater. Thompson also visited Eunice elementary schools, middle school, high schools and LSUE. She visited with Eunice city councilmen, policemen, city judge, and the St. Landry Parish School Superintendent.
