Display of Courir de Mardi Gras Prairie tradition at Eunice Depot Museum

The Eunice Depot Museum has a display of the Courir de Mardi Gras Prairie tradition. The exhibit includes, long time capitane, Hillman Smith’s costume and cape, costumes from the Eunice Ladies Run, assorted handmade masks and much more. Visitors are also encouraged to watch the note documentary “Dance For A Chicken” which explains the tradition in detail. The museum is open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Wednesday-Saturday.
