Eunice couple celebrates 50th Wedding Anniversary

Kenneth and Elaine LeJeune of Eunice celebrates 50 years of marriage. The couple were married on Sept. 16, 1967 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Eunice. The Reverend J. Guy Lemoine officiated.
The former Elaine Marie LaFleur of Eunice bridesmaids during the ceremony were Jane Breaux, matron of honor and sister of the groom; Merella LaFleur, Pam LaFleur, Joyce LaFleur, all sister-in-laws of the bride; Kathleen Courville, friend of the bride; and Monica Breaux, niece of the groom, served as the flower girl.
Kenneth’s groomsmen during the ceremony 50 years ago included Harry LaFleur Jr., as best man, brother of the bride; Walter Breaux, brother-in-law of the groom; Percy LaFleur, Gerald LaFleur, and Dwight LaFleur, brothers of the bride. Ring bearer was Michael Arnold, nephew of the groom. Ushers were Shelton Caswell, uncle of the groom; and Edward Hebert, uncle of the bride.
The LeJeune’s celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering at Landry’s Seafood Restaurant in Breaux Bridge on Sunday, Sept. 17.
The LeJeunes are the parents of two children Kimberly LeJeune DeVillier and Tracey LeJeune Person of Eunice. They are the grandparents of four and great-grandparents of two and one on the way, due in November.
