Eunice Jr. High School held a Parade of Honors for its students Friday morning, July 17. The purpose of the parade was to recognize and honors seventh and eighth grade students who excelled in the 2019-2020 school year. These students normally are honored during an end of the school year honors awards ceremony usually held in May.
But since this was not held, Principal Del-timoko Clark Dunbar and teachers decided to still give them honors deserved during a drive by parade at each student’s home.
Teachers presented each honored student with gift bags, cards and certificates at their home. Social distancing and masks were observed and required.
Seventh and eighth grade Eunice Jr. High students who received honors recognition included Grace Miller, Leigha Dischler, Zyon Fontenot, Kenslie LaRose, Yasmin Thomas, Josi Lemelle, Fajah Guillory, Lindsey Gaspard, Adam Thibodeaux, Emily Gary, Alana Bushnell, Mia Bundick, Michael Godeaux, Julien Granger, Aiden Thibedeaux, Syrianna Guillory, Ali Vige, Jaylee Randall, Aniyah Ceasar, Aniyah Ned, Caleb David, Gabbie Miller, Joshua Simien, Bailey Turner, Vivian Andrus, Denina Ned, Mia Hardy and Hallie Arnaud.
The staff and principal at Eunice Jr. High would like to extend a special Thank you to the Eunice Police Department for their assistance with the parade.
