Eunice Players’ first production of season Play On opens April 20

Rehearsals are in full swing in downtown Eunice, as The Eunice Players’ Theatre is preparing to present “Play On” by Rick Abbott as its first production of the 48th season.
“Play On” by Rick Abbot, will be directed by Annette Harrington of Eunice and Jimmy Broussard of Crowley, both members of the local theatre’s board of directors.
This comedy is a play within a play as the characters present a lively look at the ins and outs of play production and behind the scenes rehearsals of bringing a play before the public.
Cast members include Megan Broussard of Crowley, Ashley Sittig of Eunice, Nathaniel Clark of Eunice, Amy Rider of Eunice, Kristi Burleigh of Ville Platte, Andy Noel of Pine Prairie, Wil Rougeau of Iota, Johnny Deshotel of Eunice, Caleb Delafosse of Basile, and Melanie Soileau of Ville Platte.
Production dates are April 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, and 29 at 7 p.m.; April 23 at 2 p.m.; and April 26 – Dinner Theatre.
Admission is $15 per person, but season tickets are available that would allow the holder to see three shows this season as well as receive an invitation and voting privileges to the Irving Awards ceremony. The cost of a season ticket is only $30 thus giving the holder admittance to one show for free.
Patrons may have one’s name or business name on the back of the show programs and will receive four tickets for $100. An Angel will receive six tickets for $150 and will also have his or her name or business name on the back of every program.
Season tickets are available from any board member or at David’s Hair Ltd. on 2nd Street in Eunice. Single show tickets are also available at David’s Hair Ltd.
