Dr. Monty and Tiffani Heinen of Eunice are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Lauren Kate Heinen, to Tyler Steven Theriot, son of The Honorable Mitchell and Veronica Theriot of Raceland.
Miss Heinen is the granddaughter of Carol and Brent Powell of Lafayette and Dr. Brian and Jennifer Heinen of Eunice.
The bride-elect is a graduate of St. Edmund High and graduated Summa cum laude from LSU Baton Rouge where she earned a bachelor’s of science in Biology. She is currently a student at LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport with a projected graduation date in 2019.
Miss Heinen was a member of Kappa Delta, and was an LSU Golden Girl. She serves as president of Geaux Bald, and is a member of CMSA (Catholic Medical Student Association).
Mr. Theriot is the grandson of the late Doris and Medric Gautreaux, and Barbara and Livingston Theriot of Golden Meadow.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Central Lafourche. He attended one year at St. Joseph Seminary College. He graduated from LSU Baton Rouge where he earned a bachelor’s of science in Kinesiology. He is currently attending LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport and plans to graduate in 2020.
He is currently a Tiger Ambassador. He serves as vice president of Camp Tiger and is a member of CMSA.
The couple will exchange vows on Friday, June 16, at 6 p.m. at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in New Orleans.
