Katlyn Joubert named Eunice High School Student of the Year

Katlyn Ann Joubert, a senior at Eunice High School, is named 2016 Student of the Year.
Joubert was named to homecoming court in October and was crowned homecoming queen.
She is a team member of the school’s softball program for the past four years and earned Second Team All-District her junior year.
Joubert is a four-year member of the Renaissance and an FBLA member.
She is Student Council president and a member of the council for the past four years. She is a member of the Pay It Furward Club.
Joubert serves as a football trainer for the past three years and a member of the National Honor Society.
She is an ACT 22+Club member, earning a 27 composite score. She is an academic letterman.
Joubert, an honor roll student, has earned a 4.0476 GPA.
At home, Joubert enjoys taking long walks in the rain.
Joubert will have the opportunity to compete at the parish level on Dec. 7.
Eunice High principal Mitchell Fontenot announced Student of the Year, and said, “Having a school full of Katlyns would make my job easier. Her attitude does rub off on students, so that’s the next best thing.  Katlyn is a hard working, kind hearted, dedicated to her school and friends, wonderful young lady.  
“She is the epitome of what a EHS Bobcat stands for.  I’ve watched her grow up from a young child to a beautiful, inside and out, strong willed young lady who will accomplish anything she puts her mind to. I am very proud to have her as Eunice High School’s Student of the Year.”
Joubert is the daughter of Jacques and Monica Joubert of Eunice, and is the older sister to Zachary Joubert, a sophomore at Eunice High.
