Dahlia Khalifa, a recent graduate, was named as the outstanding academic student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She was presented the prestigious President Ray Authement Award for having the highest scholastic average in the science curriculum. Khalifa chose to attend UL Lafayette. She graduated from an English speaking school in Dubai. She entered UL at Lafayette at the age of 16, and quickly adjusted to the rich culture of Acadiana and the warmth of UL at Lafayette, along with its student body and faculty. Khalifa’s father Taha Khalifa is a native of Cario Egypt and is an executive with Intel Computers. Khalifa’s mother Candace Joubert Khalifa is a native of Eunice, and a graduate of Eunice High School. Candace, is a teacher, and is the daughter of former Eunice Mayor Curtis Joubert. Since her recent graduation, Khalifa was interviewed by LSU Medical School in New Orleans and has been offered the opportunity to attend its medical school.
