The Leadership Environment Action team at Highland has completed several Leader in Me themed projects around campus. The first project was the 7 Habits Sign displayed outside the school office allowing staff and students a reminder of the habits daily. This was a group effort. Kelsey Faul took apart pallets to upcycle the wood and Randi Reed painted the signs. One of the students, Matthew St. Cyr and his dad Eric St. Cyr mounted the posts into the ground. David Crader, custodian; and student helper, Shareya Wilson painted the posts and screwed the signs to the posts. Randi Reed worked with 4-H students to identify “Big Rocks” which is a focus point in daily lives. These were painted on the campus’ stepping stones in its rock garden to represent Big Rocks-things most important to students and staff. This was done in response to the school’s PD session the Professional Learning Action team led on big rocks in February. From left are David Crader, Shareya Wilson, Kelsey Faul and Matthew St. Cyr.
