Lemelle named Student of the Year at Central Middle School

Central Middle School’s Principal R. Landry has announced 2016 Student of the Year is fifth-grader Josi Aminah Lemelle.  
Landry added, “Josi is a determined student who exhibits excellent character traits.  She is very ambitious, and ambition will continue to reward her with success.  The faculty, staff, and students are very proud to have her as part of our student body, and we are confident that she will represent Central Middle School exceptionally well at the district level.”
Lemelle will advance to district level of competition on Dec. 7.
Lemelle is the daughter of Chad J.  and Fran Lemelle.
Lemelle has maintained a 4.0 GPA since kindergarten and is an honor roll student at Central Middle.  She has received many leadership recognitions.  She is a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she is president of The Children/Sunshine Choir and captain of the Liturgical Dance Group.  
At home, Lemelle enjoys dancing and attends Olivia Dodd Studio of Dance.
