Eunice High School hosted the Louisiana State FFA Officer team on Aug. 16. The state FFA officers led many FFA members on identifying everyday heroes, writing a short positive statement to a classmate in need of encouragement, and a game of listening to instructions while being blindfolded. The Louisiana FFA goodwill tour occurs every year by the Louisiana FFA state officers to promote premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agriculture education. Rebecca Berzas is the EHS FFA teacher and advisor. The FFA state officers are Brooklyn Hampton, state president; Katie Mestayer, state secretary; Kerington Bass, state vice president, Area I; Sara Toal, state vice president, Area II; William Gaspard, state vice president, Area III; Lane Degenhardt, state vice president, Area IV; Madison Sittig, state treasurer; Taylor Perrodin, state reporter; Zachary Mayfield, state sentinel and Makayla Caswell, state parliamentarian.
