NAUW & ZETA members host Memorial Day breakfast

Members of NAUW-Eunice Branch and ZETA Amicae co-sponsored a breakfast to honor the fallen service men and women of the Armed Forces on May 27.
Prior to the breakfast, they held a prayer meeting at Honey Bee Cemetery and placed flags on the graves of relatives there.
At the breakfast, as part of the program, they were joined and represented by members of the Eunice VFW Post 8971. Don Reber was the guest speaker. Reber takes the official post of Commander at VFW Post later this month. He was introduced by Rev. Lloyd H. Antoine, Pastor of St. Luke Baptist Church of Vidrine.
Some of the VFW Post represented and others that were part of the program were Roland Miller Rev. Jermaine Tezeno, Gerald Hardy, Damien Hardy, Linus Jordan, Edward Francois, Ray Anderson, Bob Soileau, Alvin Wilson, Rosa Lee Williams, Donnie Fontenot, Leelen Lavergne, Don Reber, John R. Young, Kenny Manuel, and Rev. Lloyd Antoine.
Representing the NAUW and ZETA were Shekonda Arvie, Laura Balthazar, Dorothy Fruge’, Keristian Edwards, Katherine Allison, vice president of Zeta Amicae; Carolyn Baldwin, president of NAUW; Shelsy Williams, Betty Jordan, and Denise Antoine who served as chairlady of the event.
Rosaline Allison Williams served as chef of the day.
