The ninth annual Parade of Paws was held Sunday afternoon at downtown 2nd. The dog parade began at North 2nd near Beaucoup’s and continued down Second and then one block of Park Avenue and concluded at the Fred Charlie band stage.
Rhyleigh, a two year old Yorkie, waits for the Parade of Paws parade to begin. Her owner is Tessa Saizon of New Roads.
The ninth annual Parade of Paws parade was held at 3 p.m. Sunday downtown on South 2nd Street.
Organizer and event planner Jerica Guillory held registration in front of Beaucoup for the event before the parade began. There were over 29 entries.
Canines were dressed in Mardi Gras attire and costumes. Three judges were on hand before the parade to judge winners.
