Jackie Oberste has been selected as Eunice Junior High School’s Teacher of the Year.
Obserste has been married for the past 10 years to Andrew, who also works for St. Landry Parish as a computer technician. Together they have four children. Obserste is a native of Eunice whose professional career started with an internship in child welfare after earning her bachelor’s degree in social work. Obserste later entered Southeastern University’s graduate program and obtained a master’s of arts degree in teaching.
Oberste currently teaches eighth-grade math and has additional experience in other grade levels and content areas. Oberste appreciates the continual love and support given to her by her colleagues of Eunice Junior High School as she strives daily to give the very best of herself to her students.
Oberste is extremely honored and humbled to have been chosen as Eunice Junior High School’s teacher of the year. She loves that every day she is able to teach and give back to the community where she grew up.
