Members of the NAUW-Eunice Branch showed their appreciation to ministers in the community each year during October which is set aside to recognize them for their work in the religious community.
Each year, the branch selects two churches and singles the pastor/minister or priest of that congregation and presents a special token of recognition to him/her and treats that person to their favorite place for lunch.
This year’s selections were pastor Kayla Givs of Restoring God’s Glory Church and the Rev. Blaine Clement of St. Mathilda Catholic Church.
Pastor Appreciation Sunday is celebrated on the second Sunday in October and the whole month dedicated to ministers of the gospel. It was established in 1992.
