A Sprinkle Shower, for the New Life Pregnancy Center in Mamou, will be held from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday at Gabrielle’s in Eunice. Gabrielle’s is located at 235 W. Laurel.
Hosting the Sprinkle Shower will be the Catholic Daughters of St. Anthony’s Church, St. Thomas More in Eunice, and St. Augustine Church of Basile, along with Women’s Mission Ministry/WMU Acadia Baptist Association organization. Refreshments will be served.
The New Life Pregnancy Center, located at 1415 7th St. in Mamou, is a non-profit center for expecting mothers who find themselves in crisis pregnancies or unexpected pregnancies.
The center will offer an encouraging environment for mothers who may need confirmation of pregnancy as well as help meeting needs of prenatal and postnatal care. It will offer support to continue pregnancy and guide mothers to medical care.
The hope of this community-formed center is to aid mothers in choosing life rather than choosing abortion when they are overwhelmed in facing an unintended pregnancy.
