St. Edmund Catholic School presented Dancing with the Stars – Blue Jay Style on March 7.
St. Edmund Catholic School, along with the School Advisory Council hosted its 4th Dancing with the Stars – Blue Jay Style fundraiser inside the St. Edmund gymnasium.
Twelve teams of alumni, choreographers, and extended Blue Jay family were chosen to compete in the event.
“Star” dancers worked hard with choreographers to perfect a dance routine worthy of votes and a title of “dance champion.”
This years’ dancers included Team 1, Amy Simon and Terry Brown; Team 2, Doris Brown and Pat Manuel; Team 3, Holly Bertrand and Dr. Monty Heinen; Team 4, Dean Deshotel, Delores Dubois; Jane Vidrine and Austin Smith; Team 5, Olivia Zaunbrecher and Austin Sittig; Team 6, Caroline Harris and Chris Caswell; Team 7, Angelle Manuel and James Shiver; Team 8, Abbie Aucoin and Travis Carrier; Team 9, Lauren West and Benjie Miller; Team 10, Anne-Marie McGee and Kevin McFarlin; Team 11, Alani Guidry and Justin Jenkins; and Team 12, Leslie Trahan and Brady Sattler.
Winning as Dance Champions were Pat Manuel and Doris Brown, St. Edmund Class of 1965. Their dance was choreographed by Mary Miller.
The Fan Favorites for the event were the team of Dean Deshotel, Austin Smith, Delores Dubois, and Jane Vidrine. Their dance was choreographed by Angelle Driggs.
