Recently St. Edmund’s second grade students in Mary Joubert and Ali Cormier’s classes visited the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center. The field trip was a culmination of their social studies unit on Louisiana and to learn more about the Acadians who settled the prairie of Southwest Louisiana. They toured the facility, listened to a story about “Clovis the Crawfish” had a scavenger hunt, completed an art project, and enjoyed a picnic lunch outside.
