Student of the Year named at Eunice High

Caroline T. Mire is Student of the Year at Eunice High School.
Mire, a senior, at the high school campus, has a long list of school honors, academic awards and achievements, and extra curricular activities, she has accomplished.
Mire has competed at St. Landry Parish Math Rally for Algebra I, and placed second; earned third place in Regional Literary for Civics.
During her four years at Eunice High, Mire received the Single Threat Scholar Athlete award, and has earned a 4.0 Academic honors award.
She placed second at Regional Literary Rally for Biology I, attended State Literary Rally.
In her sophomore year, Mire was rewarded Double Threat Scholar Athlete award and EOC Top Scorers award.
Mire is a member of the National Honor Society, and ACE Letterman. As a junior student, she placed fourth in the St. Landry Parish Math Rally for Geometry, second place at the Regional Literary Rally for US history. She attended State Literary Rally for US history.
Mire received the Top Cat Award, an honor award and honor chosen by teachers.
During her junior year at the high school, Mire attended Girls State.
Mire is a member of FBLA, softball team, volleyball team, Student Council where she is currently president.
As a member of FBLA, Mire has qualified and attended State Rally in Business Math and Introduction to Information Technology. She has placed first at District Rally in Insurance and Risk Management, and qualified to attend State Rally in Insurance and Risk Management.
She is a member of the Eunice High Renaissance, and Quiz Bowl.
Mire will advance to district level of competition at a later date.
Principal at Eunice High, Mitch Fontenot, added, “Caroline Mire is very much deserving of this honor and award. I wish her the best as she advances to the next levels of competition.”
Mire is the daughter of Kevin and Heidi Mire of Eunice. Her twin sister is Vivian Mire and her older brother is Camron Mire.
