The Chat-A-While Social & Civic Club each year recognizes and stands firm against sexual violence and presents awareness against crimes against women throughout the month of October by placing purple ribbons at businesses, residences, and alongside Park Avenue live oaks. The annual Take Back the Night march and vigil was held Tuesday at the Eunice Municipal Complex. Also participating in the event were representatives from the St. Landry-Evangeline Sexual Assault Center.
