Tickets now on sale for Players’ ‘Romeo and Winifred’

Eunice Player’s Theatre’s is scheduled for its summerchildren’s play “Romeo and Winifred.” First play’s showing is set for June 13. This one-act play is a parody of Shakespeare’s famous play by a similar name, but it’s set in modern-day New York City and includes a zany cast of characters, pie fights, and a disco scene complete with a white-suit wearing Romeo a la “Saturday Night Fever.” Cast members include youth ages 7-15 from Eunice and surrounding areas including Basile, Ville Platte, Mamou, Iota, Bayou Chicot and Oakdale. Performances are June 13, 14, 15, and 16 at 7 p.m., and June 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets for all seats are $10, and can be purchased by cash or credit card at David Ltd. Hair Salon at 204 S. 2nd Street or by calling 546-0163. Cash and carry tickets can also be purchased at Revente at 120 S. 2nd Street. This play is not on the season ticket.
