Xi Beta Theta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi recognizes 50 year members

The Xi Beta Theta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi has been in existence in Eunice for over 50 years. Sorority members met recently to honor and recognize their 50 year members. The women were awarded a 50 year pin representing 50 years of membership. These ladies have been active in the sorority and devoted their time, talents and efforts to the club.
The Beta Sigma Phi chapter promotes, volunteers and devotes their talents to the city, charity organizations, scholarships given to students, and other civic minded activities city wide. In the past the Beta Sigma Phi spear-headed and was responsible for erected Eunice Pharr Duson statue that stands tall on Park Avenue near the Eunice City Hall. In the past Beta Sigma Phi was active sponsors of past Miss Eunice pageants.
Beta Sigma Phi also gives the Order of Rose award to those members that reach the Rank as Order of the Rose. These members receive a special award after 20 years or more active service, and thus earn the title and honor of the ranking. Earning the Order of Rose are Sally Fruge, Janice Aguillard, and Nancy Manuel.
