The Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to an alarm activation at 2 a.m. June 20 located at the Bayou One Stop, 4730 U.S. 167 North, in the Turkey Creek area and found the front door to the business was destroyed and the ATM was removed.
When reviewing video from the business, deputies noticed a black 4-door Ford F-250 4X4 backing into the front door and connecting a chain to the ATM and ripping it out of the floor with the truck. Detectives learned that the vehicle was stolen the prior evening out of St. Landry Parish. Detectives also observed three suspects wearing dark colored hooded sweaters with their faces covered. One suspect was observed possessing what appeared to be a small handgun.
Sheriff Charles Guillory and the Evangeline Parish Sheriff’s Office are seeking information on criminal activity and urge the public to contact their Investigation Department at 337-363-2161 or through the agency’s website at www.evangelineparishsheriff.org. Any person reporting information will remain anonymous. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty.
