The $4.6 million loan sought by St. Landry Parish President Jessie Bellard was introduced at a special meeting Tuesday without discussion.
Parish Council member Faltrey Jolivette became the sponsor for the ordinance expected to be on the Council’s regular Sept. 17 meeting agenda.
The debt ordinance failed at a Aug. 20 meeting on a 5-4 vote — seven votes are needed for Council approval.
