The St. Landry Parish Economic Development District’s power to reduce revenues to the parish in deals with developers will be blunted if the Legislature approves a resolution before the Parish Council.
The resolution calls for a new statute requiring “parish and/or municipality approval for projects that negatively affect local taxes.”
