Milton Batiste will be paid $160,000 a year to serve as school superintendent for the St. Landry Parish School Board.
Batiste, 43, of Opelousas, ironed out the details of his 4-year contract at a special School Board meeting Tuesday in Opelousas. The School Board voted 12-1 to hire Batiste as superintendent on May 10.
