The memorial to Confederate soldiers from St. Landry Parish on the courthouse square remains standing nearly a year after the Parish Council voted for its removal.
On Wednesday, the Council’s Administrative-Finance Committee voted for a “complete plan” within six weeks for its removal by the Daughters of the Confederacy and Sons of the Confederacy.
