A district judge pushed the pause button on St. Landry Parish Council’s investigation into Parish President Jessie Bellard’s firing of employees since August 2020.
Some 21 parish employees have been fired, Bellard said. And hirings and firings are designated has the job of the president under the Home Rule Charter, he said. Bellard has said there are about 130 employees.
