For the first time in its 37-year history, the World Championship Crawfish Étouffée Cook-off is scheduled on Saturday.
The Cook-off celebrates the crawfish, which is a culinary favorite and economic champion for Eunice and south Louisiana.
The Cook-off previously was held on the last Sunday in March unless it was Easter. This year the change to Saturday becomes official.
