The St. Landry Parish School Board began the process of calling votes on two tax propositions renewals this year.
Superintendent Patrick Jenkins called both taxes renewals are “critical.”
Combined the property taxes raise about $11 million for the school district. Jenkins said the district cannot afford to lose the money.
The planned date for the vote is Oct. 14.
