State Rep. Phillip DeVillier has filed a bill that would allow students to take their state money elsewhere under certain conditions.
DeVillier, who represents District 41 that includes Eunice, Basile and must of rural Acadia Parish, said his bill (HB33) will allow parents or guardians to use Minimum Foundation Program money to send students to a better school, get tutoring or private education.
