Crews were out Wednesday cleaning the concrete portion of the drainage canal that begins south of Laurel Avenue at Nimitz Street, Eunice Mayor Scott Fontenot said the canal drains the U.S. 190 area. “A lot of underground drainage comes from the MLK / Laurel Avenue area into that gully. We are the ones responsible for the cleaning. It’s been about eight years since we put some equipment down there…
