Eunice Police report 2nd Street armed robbery

Eunice Police report that a male lost about $800 in an armed robbery on South 2nd Street, but escaped with his life at shortly after 2 a.m Saturday.
Police Chief Kyle LeBouef released a surveillance video of the robbery along with a news release.
LeBouef stated at officers were dispatched to the scene at 2:22 a.m. in reference to a male running with a firearm. Upon officers’ arrival, no one was observed armed with a firearm, or running with a firearm. After patrolling the area, officers were approached by a male victim who stated that he had been robbed at gunpoint by two male individuals. 
 
Upon officers’ initial investigation, video surveillance was obtained and reviewed from a local business, LeBouef stated.

The video showed at approximately 2:18 a.m. two males one wearing a white shirt, pants, black shoes, holding what appeared to be a firearm, and the other was wearing a black jacket, white shirt, pants, and black shoes with white shoe laces. 
 
The video also shows the two individuals digging into the pockets of the victim, removing the victim’s graduation money, his cell phone and driver’s license. After the two individuals forcibly removed the above-mentioned items, the individual with the firearm, pointed the firearm at the victim’s chest but did not fire. Both individuals then fled the area on foot in a northerly direction. The victim told officers that he had approximately $800 in cash that was taken by these individuals. There were no reported injuries.
